Kids’ Plates Grantee Newsletter

Welcome!  It was great to meet and talk with you at the 16th Annual California Conference on Childhood Injury Control.

Although your Kids’ Plates program has recently begun, please keep these important things in mind:

1) By now, you should have received your Kids’ Plates contract, signed it and sent it back. If not, please do so ASAP. We cannot reimburse you for any Kids’ Plates program-related expenses without a fully executed contract in place.

2) Remember all invoices must carry an original signature and date, and must be mailed. Faxes/emails cannot be accepted.

3) If you need any marketing-related technical assistance please contact Jon Akana from Hopcraft Communications at 916-457-5546 or email him at jon@hopcraft.com. Please do not leave marketing obligations until the last minute. It takes time and effort to do marketing well.

4) Be sure to mark your calendar for the mandatory Kids’ Plate meeting which will be held in Sacramento on Tuesday, January 14, 2003 (details will be mailed out soon).

As always, I am happy to help you in any way that I can. Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions or concerns about your program activities, the funding process, technical assistance, or ?. You can reach me at sholland@projects.sdsu.edu or 619-594-5039.
